Bay of Islands Marina is the easiest and primary port of entry into New Zealand, day or night. It is a full service, 250 berth marina located at Opua within the protected waters of the inner Bay of Islands.
The Bay of Islands marina is an ideal place to call home. Rest and recharge in this peaceful place with your boat safely tucked into a world-class marina facility. The marina is completely protected from the ocean swells at the entrance to the Kawakawa Rivers.
The marina sits right next to Opua where there is a wide range of marine services right next to the marina. It’s a place where you can safely leave your boat to explore the region and travel around New Zealand. It’s a place where you can get catch up with cruising friends, spend time at the Opua Cruising Club and get things done on your boat in the marina or on the hardstand haulout area ready for the next season.

Everything you need is nearby. Opua is located 5 minutes by car from Paihia, the tourism heart of the Bay of Islands, and 20 minutes from Kerikeri, the largest shopping town in the area and historic Russell is a short ferry ride and drive away. Access to other parts of the country is easy too as the Bay of Islands airport is only 20 minutes away, located just outside of Kerikeri.
