A Sandy Jandal is a gorgeous, 3-5 bedroom holiday home located in the heart of Russell. The vacation rental has been professionally designed and decorated, making it the ideal accommodation for your relaxing Bay of Islands escape. Put your feet up with a coffee from the provided machine and sink into a good book.
Make yourself comfortable in the open-plan living space, watch your favourite channels on the Sky TV, and stay connected on the complimentary WiFi.
The glass doors provide seamless indoor-outdoor flow onto the sheltered deck, where you can dine alfresco with a meal prepared in the fully equipped kitchen. Enjoy a glass of wine, and watch the kids play a game of backyard cricket on the lawn.
The five bedrooms at A Sandy Jandal comfortably sleep up to ten guests. The upstairs master bedroom has a queen-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom, while the second and third bedrooms feature a queen-sized bed and two single beds. The adjoining annexe has two additional bedrooms and a shared bathroom for guests. One bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has two single beds as well as an additional pullout single trundler bed.
*For smaller groups wanting to use extra rooms, these can be made available on request for an additional charge.
The main house has a guest toilet and separate laundry located on the ground floor, adding convenience to your stay. The separate annexe is perfect for a recreation space for the kids.
You’ll love the resort-style living here, with fantastic, shared recreation facilities to keep everyone entertained throughout your stay. Take a dip in the swimming or spa pool, get the BBQ grilling, and the kids will absolutely love the small playground.
Not only does this holiday home offer you a tranquil place to relax, there is also an array of places to explore and activities to enjoy in the area. Walk three minutes to indulge in some delicious restaurants and cafes in the area. You must try the famous Duke of Marlborough, or Hones Garden for some great local fare.
Head to the Russell Wharf to take one of the many tours on offer. Take a dolphin cruise to the Hole in the Rock, take a game fishing charter, or unleash your adventurous side in a high-speed jet boat ride. Or enjoy a balmy beach day at Oneroa Bay, just a three-minute drive away from home.
To immerse yourself in the history of the town, make your way to Pompallier House built in 1842, or the Russell Museum to explore the wonderful collection of New Zealand history.

Special Conditions
- There are two dedicated car parking spaces allocated to your cottage 17A & 17B. If you are bringing a boat, you will need to park in the boat parking at the rear of the property – this is on a first-come, first-served basis. If you do have a boat and have 2 cars and the boat parking is full, you will need to park the boat in the cottage’s dedicated car park and the other car on the street. We highly recommend that you do not leave valuable/expensive equipment in the boat.
- This property is priced based on the number of bedrooms booked, allowing smaller groups to enjoy the home at a reduced rate.
- Please select the number of bedrooms required at booking and advise your preferred bedding configuration. If not specified, a standard setup will be prepared. Unused rooms will be locked; you will still have exclusive use of the property.
- Cleaning and linen are charged based on the number of bedrooms you book.
- For your comfort, the house is pet-free and is a non-smoking property.
- High chair and porta cot hire are available on request ($25 for a high chair or porta cot per stay, including linen or $40 for both).
- Booking fee is $100 and a 3.5% credit card fee applies.
