Kauri Cottage is a modern, family-friendly holiday home within the Russell Cottages Collection complex in the beautiful Bay of Islands. Just a 3.5 hour drive from Auckland, this is the perfect location to explore the surrounding area. Located in the heart of historic Russell, Kauri Cottage is only a short stroll from the waterfront, restaurants, cafes and beaches.
The cottage has been built from traditional timber weatherboard. The interior features, solid timber floors in the living area, quality carpet to upstairs area, raked ceilings and is fully appointed to a very high standard.
On the ground floor, there is an open plan lounge and dining area, both flow out onto a terrace that captures the morning sun - a great place to have breakfast and watch the world go by...
There is a fully equipped kitchen, under-bench oven and hob, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, a TV, ample seating for 6 guests – there is also a laundry with washing machine and dryer for guest use and a powder room with toilet and vanity.
Bedroom Configuration:
- 2 x Queen beds
- 2 x Single beds
The upstairs area has 3 bedrooms - the master bedroom has a queen bed and has an attached ensuite (walk-in shower, toilet and vanity), bedroom 2 has a queen bed and bedroom 3 has 2 single beds. The main bathroom has a shower over the bath, toilet and vanity.
*For smaller groups wanting to use extra rooms, these can be made available on request for an additional charge.

Special Conditions
- Bed linens and towels are supplied for your use.
- A booking fee of $75.00.
- A 3.5% credit card fee applies to all bookings.

- For your comfort the house is a non-smoking property, and has a strict no pet policy.
- There are two dedicated car parking spaces allocated to your cottage 5A & 5B. If you are bringing a boat you will need to park in the boat parking at the rear of the property – this is on a first in first served basis. If you do have a boat and have 2 cars and the boat parking is full you will need to park the boat in the cottage’s dedicated car park and the other car on the street. We highly recommend that you do not leave valuable/expensive equipment in the boat.
